Greetings! 😄
I'm IosebiGames. Passionate, Self-Taught Java developer.
I'm someone who thinks that being Java developer isn't about being a Spring rusher, it's about understanding philosophy of Java language.
I started Java in Summer of 2023 during my rest holidays, but more notably in August. I had this feeling of wanting to make something that was useful to me, potentially to others. at Start, Java felt like it was something for me. I setup everything that I needed but I struggled to compile my most basic Java code, but I was still motivated to keep going and fixed that. Today we say that sometimes GUI development in Java is too early to put hands on since people usually start with Java Core, but I jumped straight into Java Swing, but difference was that I wasn't rushing, I was curious and I learned making GUI-Based Desktop apps for Windows. I usually make GUI applications that are small and minimalist, at this moment, not something that can be used by milions of people. I didn't really learn Java from any courses or school or UNI or college or similar, Instead I did it from Independent research and self-trying. "IosebiGames" comes from my Minecraft nickname which I decided to keep, since sometimes I used to play Games, I combined my name with that word.
As I kept making more and more apps, today it ranges up to 20+ apps, possibly more but some are not saved.
Content of those apps vary but all of those are different tools from each other. to turn this into example, think this way:
You want simple tool to connect to your Wi-Fi> (if task bar isn't working)
Try WConnect: https://github.com/IosebiGames/WConnect
You want simple tool to Record sample of your Microphone?
Try MicroMemo: https://github.com/IosebiGames/MicroMemo
You want simple tool to play WAVE audio file?
Try AudioPlayer-LM: https://github.com/IosebiGames/AudioPlayer-LM
You want simplest app that works as tool closely similar to School board app?
Try Schoolboard app: https://github.com/IosebiGames/IosebiGames/blob/main/Swing%20Apps/SchoolBoard.jar
You get the idea.
While I don't use Spring or Java EE at all, I still focus on Java SE (Standard Edition).
I'm not someone who writes Procedural, YouTube copy-pasted Enterprise Java code, I'm someone who cares about fundamental understanding of Java.
There is lot to share about, but now you know about my mindset and short story about me.
