Hi there 👋

My name is Mason Cotter. I am currently a data engineer that writes software (or a software engineer that works with data?). I write code all day at work.

Personal Projects

  • Currently working on:
    • Writing my own malloc() and free() using K&R C Book as a guide
    • Writing an echo server, built while reading Beej's Guide
    • Finish Galaga-like game as a way to learning to steer coding agents
    • Making a pr review agent that runs on GH actions
  • Up next:
    • Getting a first PR merged into cURL (docs fixes, reproducing bug reports, or maybe testing releases)
    • Small packet sniffer

Other

I am currently reading Children of Dune, playing Ghost of Yotei on PlayStation, and tinkering with a home server hosted on a Raspberry Pi 5 that my wife got me as a gift, all as my 1 year old allows.
