- Line 21: Update the path construction near withLeadingSlash in the raw
markdown handler to remove only the confirmed trailing .md extension, using a
suffix slice rather than replacing the first matching substring. Preserve
embedded .md segments in slugs such as docs.md.guide.md.
Review comments at @src/runtime/internal/database.server.ts:
- Around line 240-246: Update getServerEntryURL to safely handle both
__nitro_main__ and _importMeta_ being absent: resolve a URL from either source,
throw an explicit descriptive error when neither exists, and return the resolved
URL otherwise.
Review comments at @src/runtime/presets/cloudflare/database-handler.ts:
- Around line 28-29: Update the response handling in the serverFetch flow so
non-OK responses propagate their error status instead of returning an empty
string with status 200. Preserve returning the response text for successful
responses, and use the existing handler response mechanism to forward the failed
response appropriately.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Replace only the trailing .md extension.
slug.replace('.md', '') removes the first .md substring, not the extension. For a slug such as docs.md.guide.md, the path becomes /docs.guide.md, so the page lookup fails and the route returns 404. Use slice(0, -3). The check on Line 17 has already confirmed that the slug ends with .md.

Skipping here, slug.replace('.md', '') is carried over unchanged from the current raw route on main, so I'd rather fix it in its own PR than change the Nitro 2 behaviour in this one.

@benjamincanac Understood. Deferring this fix keeps the existing Nitro 2 behavior unchanged in this PR.
Would you like me to open a follow-up issue for the trailing .md fix?

🟡 Minor · Propagate failed ASSETS responses from the dump endpoint. · database-handler.ts:21-24
src/runtime/presets/cloudflare/database-handler.ts:21-24
🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winPropagate failed ASSETS responses from the dump endpoint.
When
ASSETS.fetch(url)returns a non-OK response,.then(r => r.text())discards its status and returns only the body. The registered dump route can then return HTTP 200 with the asset error body. Checkresponse.okand throw an error withresponse.status, as theserverFetchbranch does.Suggested fix
- return await ASSETS.fetch(url).then(r => r.text()) + const response = await ASSETS.fetch(url) + if (!response.ok) { + throw createError({ status: response.status, statusText: response.statusText }) + } + return await response.text()🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Resolves #3770
❓ Type of change
📚 Description
This PR adds Nuxt 5 support, following nuxt/image#2281. The Nitro 2 handlers move to
*.legacy.tsand new files onnuxt/servertake their place, registered with{ nuxt, nitro2 }(or{ nitro2, nitro3 }for the llms plugin) so@nuxt/kitpicks one per Nitro version. That covers the query API, preview, the node and cloudflare dump handlers and the llms raw route. Server queries go throughserverFetchon Nuxt 5 via a#content/server-fetchalias, and the event type is theContentEventfrom #3890.I checked it on a
nuxt-nightly@5xapp withnuxt-llms: content no longer shows up in the Nitro 2 compat warning, pages render, the query API answers, and it works withNUXT_APP_BASE_URL=/docs/in build and generate. A moved.outputkeeps its sqlite file next to the server. On Nuxt 4.6.2 the legacy files are used and behave as before. The cloudflare handler was only checked through build and prerender, not on wrangler. On Nuxt 5 the SQLite path now resolves from Nitro's
__nitro_main__, which isn't a documented API, same as nuxt/image does.📝 Checklist
